When most of us think of bees we think of honey bees, bee hives and honey.  What often goes unappreciated is the presence and significance of the many native bees in our yards and gardens. This presentation will look at the difference between honey bees and native bees, review the wide variety of native bees, distinguish bees for other look alike insects, discuss their importance as pollinators and discuss ways to protect and foster bees at home.
